Skopos Design's head office and manufacturing facility is based in the small semi-rural Yorkshire town of Earlsheaton in the 200 year old, Grade II listed Providence Mill. Showrooms
At Skopos Design we have two core ranges, Skopos for hospitality, cruise interiors, education and nursing homes, and Mosaic for hospital interiors. We have three showrooms available for you to visit:
- A hospital ward
- Care home roomsets
- Hotel bedroom roomsets
With new collections launched every year, the roomsets are frequently changed and product is easily viewed in situ. Extensive archives exist and can be accessed and "re-born" on request.
We are happy for you to use the showrooms for meetings, and will provide assistance as required to discuss our products, design and manufacturing challenges or interior selections. Please contact your Account Manager or sales@skopos.co.uk if you would like to use the showroom facilities.

Manufacturing
Our manufacturing heritage spans back over 30 years, we specialise in dying, printing and finishing high quality contract textiles. Skopos print onto flame retardant cloth (including Trevira CS) and also a range of sustainable, natural base-cloths which are treated with Pyrovatex to provide a durable FR finish.
We are unique in our ability to provide an end-to-end, turnkey service to our clients - in-house.
From taking a design brief, through creation of a design and colourways, production of screens, printing, dyeing and finishing, through to measuring, making and installation of soft furnishings.
Quality management is key to our success, we are accredited to ISO9001 and all parts of our development and manufacturing procedures are vigorously quality controlled. An on-site laboratory tests every production batch before despatch ensuring our high quality standards are continually upheld.
At Skopos we also focus on the impact our manufacturing methods have upon the environment and have made major steps over the last 4 years to minimise our carbon footprint. In 2010, we were awarded the Carbon Trust Standard, in recognition of our genuine and continued reduction of our carbon emissions over a 3 year period. We continue to focus on environmental improvements across the business.
Our unique expertise is the flexibility of the service we can provide; the option of full-service; short print runs; short lead-times - all combined with quality and customer service.
Fabric Make-up Service
Our sewing department comprises a team of experienced seamstresses, able to offer make-up for curtains, pelmets, bedspreads, coverlets, valances, cubicle curtains, duvet covers, cushions and decorative throws. With decades of experience in the contract sector, we ensure that the make-up quality is sufficient for the heavy use usually encountered in healthcare, elderly care, marine or hotel and leisure environments.
